Races / Distances are the following:

  • Sprint Distance Race: .5-Mile Swim, 12.4-mile cycle, 3.1-mile run (Age Group / Elite Juniors & Youth)
  • Olympic Distance Race: .93-mile swim, 24.8 mile cycle, 6.2-mile run (Elite / U23)

    USAT rules will be enforced during the age group race.
    ITU rules will be enforced for the elite race.

This race is DRAFT LEGAL for the Elite, U23, Junior and Youth Divisions

Race Day Schedule:

4:30am Transition area opens
6:00am Elite Males, U23 Males
7:00am Elite Females, U23 Females
8:00am Elite Juniors and Elite Youth(Both groups will complete the Sprint Distance course)
9:00am Age group-Males
9:05am Age group-Females

Note: It is very important that you start in the proper wave. If you do not start in the proper wave, your results will not be correct and may impact other competitor's results. If you do not start in the wave you are assigned, please notify our timing company immediately.

Equipment & Rules:

You will be given two small numbers in addition to your bib number, one for the front of your helmet and the other for around the seat post of your bike. These numbers match your bib number. Your bib number must be worn during the run portion of the race ON YOUR FRONT. Please do not alter this number in any way. All bib numbers must match in order to be allowed out of the transition area.

Swim cap must be worn during the swim and helmet worn during the bike. Body marking will be done on race morning.

Equipment: Wetsuits are allowed and they are optional for participants. Water temperature is typically 64 degrees. Helmets are required on the bike. There is no riding in the transition area. No snorkels or fins in the swim. No drafting on the bike. NO headphones!

Wristbands will be given to all athletes at registration/packet pick up. For safety and security reasons athletes must wear the wristband to enter the transition area. No spectators or coaches will be allowed in transition. Upon completion of the race, you must check out your own bike with the volunteers stationed at the exits.

Chip Instructions:

  • Chips are non-transferable! Be careful not to switch chips with anyone.
  • Wrap the chip anklet around your left ankle before starting the race.
  • Start in your assigned wave or risk not being scored.
  • To receive an official time, you must run or walk across the timing mats at the start line, on the course, and at the finish line.
  • Return the chip anklet to us in the corral after the finish line.
  • No anklet - no split times. If you do not finish the race for any reason, return this anklet to finish line staff.

YOU WILL BE CHARGED A $30 FEE FOR ALL NON-RETURNED CHIPS

Packet Pick-Up & Late Registration:

Packet pick-up and late registration will be held on Saturday, June 24, from 10am-4pm in the Alamitos beach parking lot. The lot is located south of Shoreline Drive and adjacent to Alfredo's Beach Shack There will also be race day packet pick-up beginning at 5:00am.

No materials will be sent out to competitors. There will be NO race day registration.

If you are having someone else pick up your race packet please download the waiver, sign it and have that person bring it with them.

Bike Shipping to Long Beach

Should you want to ship your bike to Long Beach to be held for pick-up, please use the following shipping instructions:

Ship via DHL (DHL will hold the bike at the Long Beach DHL Facility for Pick-Up)
Note: Shipper must insure their bike for actual value!

You can pick up their bikes at the DHL Long Beach Facility (located at the address listed above) during normal business hours:

Monday through Friday 9 am to 6 pm
Saturday from 9 am to 12 noon
